your favourite India’s Premier Interventional
Experience - ACVS INDIA will be
conducted as TCT INDIA. It will be held at
India’s finest Convention Centres - HICC, Hyderabad
from July 31st to August 3rd 2014.
APVIC (Asia Pacific Vascular Interventional
Course) conducted by Dr. N. N. Khanna every year
in New Delhi will be done as part of this meeting.
Prof. Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Director, Jayadeva
Hospitals, Bangalore & Dr. Sundeep Mishra,
Professor of Cardiology, AIIMS, New Delhi also join along with Dr. N. N. Khanna
as Course Directors from this year. With more vigour
and strength obtained by this vital additions
FACTS Foundation & CRF together pledge to all
our country cardiology community to bring to all of
you a more interesting and broad based academic feast
this year and year after year.
The main focus of the meeting in the main arena
from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM will continue be Live case
oriented academic learning from all highly reputed
teaching Institutes of our country along with some
exceptionally good International Centers moderated by
experts in the International arena - Dr. Martin B Leon
& his CRF team. Besides these there will be Special
focused lectures by Dr. Martin B Leon and his other
CRF team members who will all be further joined by
many highly reputed European counter parts like Dr.
Antonio Colombo and others. This year onwards we are
launching post breakfast focused sessions in the
morning (8:00 Am – 10:00 AM) which deal on specific
issues such as Imaging - IVUS, OCT, Peripheral
intervention, Primary PCI etc. From 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM,
we would have three rooms. The main arena would
continue with Live cases from various National &
International sites, in addition, there would be an
Endovascular & Structural Theater, Coronary & Cath
Pre Conference Workshops will be conducted this year
on July 31st at HICC. The goal of these workshops is
to teach the basics in a hands on manner so that you
may return to your institutions with the knowledge
needed to start your own program. The workshops will
consist of the following:
1. TCT Refresher Course – Dealing with basics
of interventional cardiology (wires, guides, balloons,
stents, etc.) interspersed with some interesting
Clinical Case corner sessions.
2. Endovascular treatment of aneurysms from A to Z
- which focuses on all basic aspects of endovascular
therapy and guides physicians how to initiate the
programme in their respective hospitals.
3. Structural heart device closure Workshop –
which deals with not only device closure of ASD, VSD,
PDA Closures but also with newer structural
interventions like LAA Occlusion, PFO Closure,
Paravalvular leak closures etc. This will be
coordinated by none other than CSI, Germany Course
Director - Prof. Horst Seivert.
BCVS Sessions will be held on August 1st 2014
for interested physician colleagues to provide content
on key relevant topics in cardiology for general
physicians as well as clinical cardiologists. These
sessions will be held in partnership with Association
of Physicians of India.
The CV Nurse Technician Symposia with ACLS/BCLS
training sessions will continue to provide further
education to the Cath lab and CCU staff.
We request all colleagues across the country to send
us interesting Angio CD’s for the challenging cases
sessions and any new research protocols for
presentation in the innovative trial sessions.
